How do you explain exploding Covid deaths while total deaths from all causes remain normal.

“Hospital administrators might well want to see COVID-19 attached to a discharge summary or a death certificate. Why? Because if it’s a straightforward, garden-variety pneumonia that a person is admitted to the hospital for – if they’re Medicare – typically, the diagnosis-related group lump sum payment would be $5,000,” he added on April 19. “But if it’s COVID-19 pneumonia, then it’s $13,000, and if that COVID-19 pneumonia patient ends up on a ventilator, it goes up to $39,000.”

As of week, ending April 11^th (15 week of 2020) the CDC has reported that there has been a total of 802,257 deaths from all causes in the USA.

Approximately 2,900,000 people die in the USA from all causes each year. That is 55,769 deaths per week.

55,769 x 15 = 836,538. Less people have died so far this year than expected! Please explain why total deaths year to date are below average if we are in a pandemic? Why were we experiencing normal weekly death rate before lockdown and social distancing??
